Sherry brings over 20 years of professional and amateur sport administration experience in the fields of event management, high performance sport, community engagement and strategic consultation at a municipal, provincial and national level. A native of Kitchener-Waterloo, she returns home after recently serving the New Brunswick sport sector as a consultant for the provincial government as well as Chef de Mission for Team NB at the Canada Games. Previous leadership positions include Director of Community Development with the Ottawa Senators, and Manager of Coach and Athlete Development for Field Hockey Canada.
In addition to being involved in the Canada Games movement, she has also represented Canada in several capacities at multiple international sport events and multisport games, including the 2007 Pan American Games, 2010 Commonwealth Games and 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.
She holds an undergraduate degree in Sport Management from the University of Massachusetts along with an MBA from the University of New Brunswick.
